Lunch Break will host its third annual online Artists Open Hearts for Lunch Break fundraiser April 29th-May 8th, 2022. Last year we raised more than $20,000 through the generosity of our talented arts community. The fundraiser helps to provide food security for so many of our neighbors who are struggling with financial burdens.

Proceeds from the art auction will benefit Lunch Break. A special preview event open to the public will take place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, May 6th and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 7th at Detour Gallery in Red Bank. Paulette Williams is among our featured artists. Abstracts with deep, rich colors, sometimes vibrant, yet with an element of 3D acrylics, is her signature. The self-taught, New Jersey-based artist initially began painting to remedy a need to fill up a wall space in her new home. What started out as a “necessity is the mother of invention,” project, eventually turned into a creative outlet and took Williams down a path to becoming an artist.

Always making an effort to provide assistance to those in need, Williams regularly donates paintings to various community-based, non-profit organizations for fundraisers.
