Community Kitchen Services

Community Kitchen Dining Room

Our newly renovated Community Kitchen is more than just a kitchen; it’s a vibrant hub that brings our neighbors together to share meals and foster a strong sense of community and mutual support. Spanning 3,460 square feet, the kitchen boasts state-of-the-art equipment, enabling us to prepare a variety of meals — from in-house dining to take-away options for homebound individuals and families in our Family Promise program.

The recently inaugurated kitchen represents a significant advancement in our capabilities to serve those in need. Its design emphasizes efficiency and volume, featuring commercial grade appliances, ample storage, and large work areas for seamless meal preparation and distribution. Adhering to the highest standards of hygiene, the kitchen is equipped with modern sanitation facilities. This facility is a testament to our dedication to providing dignified, high-quality meal assistance to our community.

But the Community Kitchen is more than a place for cooking. It’s a dynamic center for social and community-building activities, hosting events like Friday Night Community Dinners, Wellness Wednesdays, chair yoga, concerts, spoken word performances, events with partner agencies and more.

We are committed to environmentally friendly practices, using locally sourced produce and composting to repurpose food scraps. The kitchen also offers diverse volunteering opportunities, from meal preparation to event organization, all in a welcoming atmosphere.

The Community Kitchen is a lively, nurturing environment that blends culinary skills, cultural exchange, community support, and sustainability, creating a unique and enriching experience for everyone involved.
