Check out the fall veggies growing strong at Lunch Break! The raised bed gardens are sprouting lettuces, kale, spinach, broccoli and other hardy crops. Bryan Nesci, Gwen Love and Dave were admiring the cauliflower growing in the sun today. Eventually this garden will be self sustaining as rain barrels are added to catch water to irrigate the beds and solar panels are set up to power the irrigation system.
Students from Red Bank Catholic are helping to maintain and manage the whole project under Bryan’s guidance. And the produce will feed our neighbors in need!! Truly an amazing community project!
