Infant Formula Shortage

About 40% of baby formula is out of stock across the country, according to a published report in the Asbury Park Press. While plant production problems are in the process of being resolved, Lunch Break is responding to the urgent need for formula. We thank our community members for their help in securing a supply for our warehouse.
Says Executive Director Gwendolyn Love: “The formula crisis is one that impacts our most vulnerable in society — the precious babies, and in their formative years. This only adds to the stress for our food-insecure families, all of whom already have so much to deal with due to the lack of transportation, finances and time to research supplies. This is such a justification for our Renew the Promise of Hope building expansion, which will further enable us to be at the forefront of storing and distributing these needed items continually, especially during times of crisis.”
