Lunch Break’s Family Promise Program Lifts Spirits with Family Fun Days!

Lunch Break’s Family Promise tackles homelessness holistically, supporting families with fun community gatherings and more!

Working with community agencies, faith-based services, churches and synagogues, Lunch Break’s Family Promise provides supportive services, financial assistance, housing solutions, and food, for families and individuals in need.

In a collaborative effort, Lunch Break and Family Promise combined resources in 2021 to assist local communities in coordinating their compassion to address the root causes of family homelessness — holistically. Through prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing, Family Promise, officially incorporated into the Lunch Break umbrella in January 2022, strives to ensure clients remain independent, empowering families toward economic stability.

Over the years, Family Promise in conjunction with the Life Skills Program, has helped hundreds of neighbors secure permanent housing, improve their credit and finances, find jobs or complete their education. This is just one of the many ways Lunch Break continues to address the well-being and financial hardships of our under-employed community members.
