Norma Todd’s Legacy

Norma Todd's Legacy February 4, 2021 4:34 pm

Some 38 years ago, a group of citizens, concerned about the well-being of their neighbors, formed a coalition of hunger heroes to combat food insecurity within their community. At that moment, the mission of Lunch Break was formed.

Norma Todd and a distinguished group of community leaders had a vision of providing food and fellowship for those in need, with dignity and compassion for all who sought help. They started modestly, in a church basement and Masonic Temple, hoping one day, their dream would take root in a permanent home. That dream took shape at 121 Drs. James Parker Boulevard in Red Bank.

Over the years, Norma Todd’s Lunch Break has evolved into a social service agency and Life Skills Center. And with it, the mission of Mrs. Todd and our founders continues, through economic downturns, natural disasters and a pandemic.

For the complete story of Norma Todd’s legacy.
