#Nourishingneighbors

Our nutrition initiative has prompted Lunch Break to create more delicious, healthy food options that are beneficial to the health and welfare of our community members. Chef Adam Smith and our culinary staff are introducing a new Buddha Bowl lineup including seasonal fruits, such as fresh peaches, and plenty of salads filled with local and seasonal vegetables — summer corn, for instance. And we’re incorporating fresh herbs in pasta salads and entrees: basil as the front and center of a cold pesto chicken salad and top billing in a light, creamy pesto chicken and pasta entree. Lunch Break also plans on culinary excursions to different parts of the globe, beginning with the Philippines, to challenge tastebuds with new and exciting flavors. Pancit Bihon — a rice noodle dish similar to Chinese lo mein and loaded with good-for-you veggies — is among the international offerings on the healthy menu. It’s all part of the greater plan we refer to as #nourishingourneighbors.
