Represent New Jersey for the Next Decade

Represent New Jersey for the Next Decade September 14, 2020 10:21 am

New Jersey’s communities are proud, diverse and GROWING. An accurate Census count captures a snapshot of NJ communities and ensures fair funding and accurate representation by elected officials. The results of this once-a-decade count determine the number of seats each state has in the House of Representatives. They also are used to draw and re-draw congressional and state legislative districts, based on where populations have increased or decreased.

If NJ’s communities are not fully counted, that could cost them political influence as well as other resources.

Since Census data informs our political representation, it is imperative that NJ residents fill out the Census and register to vote. The deadline to register to vote in the next election is October 13th. Fill out the Census, and, if eligible, register to vote here.

Complete the Census here or over the phone at (844) 330-2020 (English), (844) 468-2020 (Spanish) or any of the other language numbers listed here.
