Stuff A Backpack Drive 2021

Lunch Break kitchen volunteer — and state finalist for Miss New Jersey USA 2021 — Kristen Hunt has collected more than 20 stuffed backpacks for the food security and social service resource organization’s Stuff A Backpack 2021 drive and is still counting.

Kristen, a sophomore at The College of New Jersey, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and professional writing with a minor in Spanish. She is a writer and editor for her school’s newspaper and hopes to one day be a fashion magazine editor.

Philanthropy, especially giving back to her community, is among Kristen’s passions, along with her love for writing, which she discovered while in middle school. A goal-oriented student, Kristen credits her organization skills and always being prepared as keys to success in her endeavors, and with it comes the confidence to reach her potential.

School supply donations such as Kristen’s will allow Lunch Break students to start school worry-free, prepared, and ready to enrich their education. Thank you to Kristen and all those who contributed to the backpack drive!

Lunch Break is collecting backpacks filled with school supplies through Aug. 16th. Please drop off donations at the Red Bank headquarters, 121 Drs. James Parker Blvd., Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
