Wanda came to the Life Skills Center two years ago. She was homeless, unemployed and exhausted. Working with Life Skills staff and a coach, Wanda found employment with two local companies. But she was still homeless.

With help from a few local charities and using her own funds, Wanda was able to stay in a local hotel for a short time. Eventually, she secured housing through HABcore and was about to move in when a bureaucratic roadblock prevented her from doing so.

The staff at Life Skills and Wanda worked together to address the issue, and after reapplying, she was finally approved. As of December 1st, Wanda has her own apartment to call home!
