Our 2024 Alliance for Success students have wrapped up their fall workshop programming. Since their start on September 9th, this dedicated group of 34 juniors and 14 seniors participated actively in twice-weekly workshops, showing consistent commitment to this valuable program. The students also met individually with their mentors. Though our fall workshop sessions have concluded, the juniors in the AFS program will return for a winter SAT prep series. Following that, both our juniors and seniors will dive into spring workshops which will include campus tours of regional colleges, career exploration, and additional college application preparation.

On an exciting note, some of our seniors have already received college acceptance letters and financial support from schools such as Rutgers University, Seton Hall University, Montclair State University, Drew University, Juniata College, and Cornell University, to name a few. We look forward to seeing the final decisions in the coming months.

We are so proud of the dedication these students have shown, and we remain committed to supporting them every step of the way. It’s inspiring to see how the combination of education and mentorship can empower individuals, helping them to build brighter futures.

Our AFS program, along with its leaders, mentors, educators and students are the “help for today” Lunch Break strives to give with our programming. The impact of these programs is profound, providing essential support and resources to those in need that lays the foundation for “hope for tomorrow”. Together, we are creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
