Lunch Break Clara’s Closet is a compassionate, community-driven effort dedicated to collecting, sorting, and sharing gently worn clothing with individuals who need it most. Initiated by generous donations from the public, these garments are carefully categorized by our devoted team and volunteers according to type, size, and season. We conduct a thorough inspection to ensure each piece is clean and intact, repurposing or recycling any items that don’t meet our standards. Clara’s Closet aids those in need while promoting waste reduction through clothing reuse.

Our store, designed to be both inviting and plentiful, allows guests to browse and select clothes. By partnering with various community groups, Lunch Break Clara’s Closet amplifies its reach and impact, hosting events to bolster awareness and foster community involvement. It provides numerous volunteer opportunities, nurturing a spirit of social responsibility. Clara’s Closet is named in memory of Clara Marie Nelson, a twenty year volunteer who served as the first clothing coordinator.
