A yearly summer celebration that brings the Lunch Break Community together to enjoy the day at Red Bank’s Count Basie Fields

Join us at Lunch Break’s Annual Community Picnic and Softball Classic! This year’s event honors our Monmouth County Police & Fire First Responders. Alongside the softball tournament with teams from local businesses and organizations, enjoy food, games, music and more! The event includes a backpack giveaway for school-aged children and the Annual Wellness Fair, offering valuable health information and screenings from over 30 community non-profits. We look forward to seeing you there!

Backpack & School Supply Drive

We need sturdy, new and unused school age-appropriate backpacks and school supplies. We are collecting elementary, middle school and high school backpacks full of supplies.

Backpack Giveaway

For school-aged children, we provide backpacks and school supplies (first come, first serve, while supplies last) ensuring local students have everything they need as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

Softball Classic

The Softball Classic introduces an element of spirited competition, with teams from the community, local businesses and organizations participating in a friendly tournament. To make this event a complete success, Lunch Break asks community members, businesses and corporate sponsors to step up to the plate and join our Softball Challenge lineup.

Don’t forget to bring your fans! Families and friends are invited to cheer for the teams and enjoy the picnic. Registration proceeds support the vital services Lunch Break provides to our neighbors in need, including basic needs, clothing, life skills, housing solutions and family counseling services.

Annual Wellness Fair

The Annual Wellness Fair, held in conjunction with the Annual Picnic and Softball Classic, serves as a valuable avenue for providing a wide range of information to attendees. In accordance with Lunch Break’s Health & Wellness program, 30+ community non-profits provide social services, preventive health-care, nutrition information and health screening opportunities.
